Running

Whether you are just starting or want to improve your fun run time, make the most of your training under the guidance of an internationally accredited long distance coach.

Each session of this course will be a mixture of classroom based theory and running in a local park. Increase your physical fitness via running/walking as you develop speed, endurance, flexibility and your running technique. Learn the latest evidence based information on nutrition, stretching, injury prevention and recovery. Utilise video analysis to improve your technique. Most of all learn how to be best prepared for your run: gear, planning/mapping and mental preparation.

At the end of the course there is an opportunity to join a local based run club (based in Centennial Park) and enjoy regular weekly running activities.

Wayne turned me from a jogger into a determined distance runner with his unique style of thoroughness, humour and humanity. He has the uncanny ability to inspire those from different backgrounds and with varied abilities to not just have a go but keep coming back for more and more. There was only one reason I completed my first Marathon and that was 18 months of Wayne’s wonderful advice, pushing and warmth.
