Mindfulness Meditation


Mindfulness Meditation is designed to teach you skills and techniques to help you find stillness, peace and calm within yourself, no matter what is going on around you...to be OK. This class is perfect for beginners as well as anyone looking to 'refresh their meditation skills

The method taught is based on “Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction” which was developed by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn (USA) and modified by Dr Ian Gawler (Victoria). Methods are “mainstream” with no religious ideology. Techniques will be offered step by step over a five-week period whereby participants will learn skills to use at work and in personal life.

These sessions are inclusive – you may choose to sit on a chair, or sit or lie down on the floor. Advisable to: wear comfortable clothing; bring a cushion; something to lie on (if using the floor). Handouts will be provided.
