Japanese Cookery


Create authenic, homestyle Japanese menus as you learn about the importance of food in Japanese culture. Your tutor Ritsuko will share family recipes as well as iconic dishes that she learnt while studying.

Course fee includes all ingredients.

Materials
Sharp knife
Tea towel and apron
Takeaway containers for any leftover food

Learning Outcomes
Gained an awareness of OH&S issues in relation to food preparation
Gained an appreciation of the importance of food, and the extended meal in particular, in Japanese culture
Learned about preparation and cooking methods used in Japanese cuisine
Prepare, presente and taste a traditional Japanese meal.
