Belly Dancing

Belly Dancing combines health giving exercise with the creative grace of dance movements. The steps are a combination of sharp movements, eg. hip flicks or shimmy and slow snake like movements, eg. Camel Walk or Belly Roll (the pelvic rock and circular arm movements). Once you have mastered the basic steps you can give full rein to your creative abilities as you evolve your own individual dance interpretations. Women of all shapes, sizes and ages can improve their fitness and have fun while learning this centuries old dance form. Belly dance is excellent for the lower back and posture and is taught in a relaxed environment.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a scarf to tie around your hips.
Feet are bare (unless medical problem)
Moderate level of fitness required
