Tech Savvy Seniors - Understanding your PC

Over 60 - Come and explore the world of personal computing in a course designed for the complete computer beginner and includes starting the PC, logging in, using and understanding desktop icons and their links to underlying programs, navigating a directory structure, saving work, printing and closing down the PC. Learn the basic principles of how to use your computer to do simple word processing and other basic computer tasks such as saving files and printing. Jargon free language is used and the pace of presentation is not rushed. Basic keyboard skills and word processing will be covered. No previous experience or knowledge of computers is required. The class will be conducted in a supportive, friendly, fun environment designed to conquer any fear of computers you may have.

The Tech Savvy Seniors Program is part of the NSW Ageing Strategy which was launched in July 2012 by the Minister for Ageing at City East Community College and is an initiative of the NSW Aging Strategy, funded throough a partnership between the NSW Government and Telestra.
