The Tutor has designed a course that covers theories of design as well as their practical application. Learn about colour theory and basic colour schemes to enhance a room and create the desired mood. In a ‘hands-on’ program you will have lots of practical exercises as you move through room layout and furniture arrangements, co-ordinating fabrics, window treatments, lighting ideas and plans, storage, wall coverings and floor treatments.

Materials

• Please bring a notepad and pen.
• Pen , pencil, notebook (or sheets of A4 blank paper)
• Scissors
• Gluestick
• Ruler
• Eraser
• Decorating Magazines/brochures
• Paint Colour Chips – as many as possible (from paint or hardware stores)
• Pictures of furniture, lighting, rugs, accessory items, artwork
• Pieces of fabric, laminate, tiles, carpet, wallpaper, timber veneer, caesarstone
