Cooking Essentials

If there isn't a class to suit you, please join the waiting list.

The best way to become a good cook is to learn basic cooking techniques. Once you learn how to handle these fundamental techniques, you will be able to handle most recipes. Cooking is not just about recipes....it is about how to take ingredients and make them taste as good as possible. This course uses simple but contemporary recipes, from around the world, to enable even the most reluctant cook to produce tasty dishes from brunch to sinful desserts with ease.

As you read and interpret recipes, develop your basic cooking skills as you select fresh ingredients; clean and chop vegetables; learn correct baking, boiling, blanching, roasting, baking, sautéing, frying and steaming techniques;
PLEASE NOTE: this course is not suitable for vegetarians.
