Now that Summer is nearly here, why not save some money by adapting some favourites from your existing wardrobe. By simply taking up the hem of your favourite skirt, letting out or taking in the waist of your shorts, adjusting sleeves or replacing broken zippers, etc, you can step out in new style this season.

Enrol in this workshop and your alterations will take on a professional appearance. Feel confident when called on to take-up trousers or skirt hems (by hand or blind hemming stitch on a machine). Make garments fit better by adding darts where neccessary or simply get another ware out of your favourite jacket by unpicking and replacing a zipper.

Materials

Along with a few items of clothing to alter in class, please bring:

• an 'unpicker'
• pins
• zipper if needed
• cotton to match
• hand sewing needles and
• patience.

Note If bringing your own sewing machine plus include zipper foot and manual.

If you have little sewing experience we advised you to choose simple alterations such as replacing a zipper or taking up a skirt or trousers. If you have a difficult alteration please call Fiona prior to first class on 4751 6136.
