Using three industry standard graphics and page layout applications – Adobe Indesign CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Illustrator CS4, this hands-on, six week (one day per week), course provides the practical skills and understanding required to create digital artwork at a beginners level. The course looks at page layout, typography and raster and vector digital imaging for print and web based production using the industry standard graphics software.

By course conclusion, you should be able to set up and layout single and multi-page documents, import and format text, import and work with images, and prepare documents for a service provider using INDESIGN; understand resolution and colour mode and be able to scan images, colour correct images, combine composite images, use special effects, save artwork in various file formats using PHOTOSHOP; and be able to create simple vector artwork, work with paths, apply fills and outlines, use many of the tools and create templates with ILLUSTRATOR.
