This MS Excel 2007 workshop will equip you with the expertise to create and modify spreadsheets to suit your personal requirements. Learn how to correctly operate MS Excel and perform basic operations including but not limited to creating formulas, copying, filing, printing, manipulating worksheets and working with functions and charting.
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to create spreadsheets; enter numbers, text and symbols in cells according to information requirements;
enter simple formulas and formulas using relative and absolute referencing where required; correct formulas when standard error messages occur; employ basic built in functions, such as sum and average; use various tools including help, search and replace, spell check, undo and simple formatting tools during spreadsheet development; add, select, copy, delete or move columns and rows within the spreadsheet; copy or increment data entries for logical and clear presentation of information; save spreadsheet to correct directory / folder; adjust page display modes, orientation and size to meet user requirements and / or special needs; modify toolbar to meet user and document uses; ensure font type, size and colour is appropriate for the purpose of the document; apply alignment and justification options and line spacing according to spreadsheet formatting requirements; modify column width and height to suit spreadsheet requirements; format cells to display different styles, values and information as required; modify margin sizes to suit the purpose of the spreadsheet; view multiple workbooks/ spreadsheets at once.
Upon conclusion, you will have gained the basic skills necessary to: plan and design a spreadsheet; enter data, edit, save and print a workbook; use formulas and built-in functions; select cells and ranges using a number of techniques; import and export data; create and modify charts; change print and layout settings.
Basic computing and keyboarding skills are a prerequisite for this course.

Parking is available on both sides of Bondi Rd. On the Waverley Oval side (westbound) after 9am each day, on the College side you may park before 9am but cars need to be moved by 4pm.
If you are attending a weekend course at 98 Bondi Road, please be aware that a clearway will be in place on Bondi Road (westbound from Sandridge Street to Council Street) from 3pm to 7pm on weekends and public holidays between 1 December and 1 March each year.
Public Transport
Buses: The 380, 381 and 333 buses travel along Bondi Road from Bondi Junction or Circular Quay.
Train: Bondi Junction train station is a 5 -10 minute walk (or short bus trip, see above). Walk east along Oxford Street. Turn right at Hollywood Ave, then take next left at Waverley Street. Continue up Waverley Street and cross at the lights. 98 Bondi Road is on the left hand side of the street about 1 1/2 blocks towards the beach.
